Each stake carries a faux bloom on a bendable stem, with a small solar panel that tops up the battery through the day. When the light drops, the sensor switches them on without any input from you. Seven bloom types are available, from sunflower and rose to lavender and hydrangea.

Give the panel a clear view of the sky, since a stake under dense shrubs will not take a full charge. Space them along a path edge or push them in among existing planting where the stems can lean naturally. Before winter storage, wipe the panel clean so it charges properly next season.
