Sleep Earbuds – Flat Bluetooth In-Ear Buds for Side Sleepers
Sleep Earbuds – Flat enough to lie on
Ordinary earbuds stick out far enough that lying on your side presses them into your ear canal, which is why most people give up on listening in bed. These sit almost flush with the ear, so a pillow does not drive them inward. Bluetooth 5.3, touch controls on the bud, and a case that charges them.

Why choose flat earbuds?
The problem is entirely mechanical: depth. A standard bud has a body that projects, and a pillow is an unforgiving surface. Take the projection away and audiobooks, podcasts and radio in bed become comfortable rather than something you tolerate for ten minutes and then stop.
- Low-profile shape – sits close to the ear, for lying on your side.
- Bluetooth 5.3 – stable connection at up to about 15 metres.
- Light in the ear – low enough weight to forget about over a long listen.
- Touch controls – play, pause and skip from the bud itself.
- Charging case – keeps them together and tops them up between uses.
An audiobook in bed that does not end with your ear aching.

Take them out before falling asleep properly rather than sleeping through the night in them — anything in the ear canal for eight hours at a stretch is worth avoiding. The IPX5 rating covers sweat and rain, so they also handle a walk or light exercise. Touch controls take a day to get used to; a light tap works better than a press.
