Strongman Desk Lamp – Retro Carnival Figure With a Striped Shade and Movable Arm

Strongman desk lamp – a hand-painted carnival character that holds up your light

This small lamp shows an old-time circus strongman balancing the bulb, topped with a striped shade that softens the light. You get a lamp that works for reading and doubles as a piece of character on a desk, shelf or nightstand.

Why choose this strongman lamp?

Most compact lamps look interchangeable, and this one deliberately does not. The painted figure gives it a carnival feel, while the arm lets you aim the light where you actually need it.

• Painted by hand: the details are applied individually, so no two lamps look exactly the same.
• Positionable arm: tilt the light toward a book, a notepad or a wall to set the direction.
• Diffusing striped lampshade: spreads a warm, even glow instead of a harsh spot.
• Big-top styling: the retro circus motif works as a talking point in a study, hallway or reading corner.
• Small footprint: at under 8 inches tall it fits on a crowded nightstand or bookshelf.

It is a working light first, with a sense of humor built in.

Place it on your desk and angle the arm toward your work for focused light while you write or read. In the evening it gives a living room shelf or a bedside table a soft, warm accent. Because each piece is painted by hand, small variations in the finish are part of the design.
