A textured pressed-glass shade on a brass-tone fitting, hung from a cord you set to whatever length the room needs. Unlit it reads as a soft tint; switched on, the texture in the glass throws the colour onto whatever is underneath it. Sized for a single point over a table or an island.

Why choose a coloured glass pendant?

A plain white shade lights a table and does nothing else. Textured glass does two jobs: it diffuses the bulb so nobody is staring at a filament across dinner, and it puts a colour into the room that changes with the light level. Hung in a row of two or three, the effect is considerably more than one of them alone.

Over a dining table, hang the bottom of the shade about 75 to 85 cm above the surface; over a kitchen island where people stand, go higher. A clear filament bulb shows off textured glass far better than a frosted one. Bulbs are not included, which lets you pick the warmth you want.
