Flameless tree candles – warm flicker you control from the couch by remote

Flameless tree candles – the old-fashioned candlelit tree, minus the open flame

Real candles in a dry Christmas tree are a nice idea right up to the moment you picture it. These LED candles give you the same soft, moving light without a flame, wax or smoke. They run on batteries and answer to a small remote.

Why choose these flameless candles?

Most of the work happens from wherever you are sitting. You switch them on, dim them and set them to turn off later, all without walking over to the tree. And nothing drips onto the presents.

• Candle-like flicker: warm white light that moves gently, like a small flame
• Remote control: brightness, light mode and timer from across the room
• Timer: the candles switch themselves off at the end of the evening
• Dimmer: bright while you decorate, low when the room goes quiet
• No cords: every candle is wireless, so you place them branch by branch

A tree with candles, like your grandparents had, without anyone keeping watch over it.

Start with the top branches and work down, spacing them evenly so the light spreads. The same candles look good on a windowsill or in a table centerpiece once the tree is gone. A set of 12 suits a small tree; 48 covers a full-size one.
