Solar system model – moving planets on an oak base for a desk or bookshelf

Solar system model that keeps turning on your desk

A mechanical model of the solar system with nine planets and 28 moons that move around each other. It stands on an oak base and shows its brass gears in the open. On a desk, a bookshelf or in a display cabinet, it draws the eye right away.

Why choose this solar system model?

It is decoration and mechanism in one. You look at it because it is beautiful and keep looking because it moves.

• Moving orbits: planets and moons travel around the center.
• Stone planets: each one has its own color and pattern.
• Open gearwork: engraved brass gears drive the orbits.
• Battery operated: no outlet needed, so you can place it anywhere.
• Gift idea: for anyone who loves astronomy or old scientific instruments.

A conversation piece that never stands still.

Give the model some space around it so the moving arms can turn freely. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. It fits in a study, a reading corner or a living room alike.
