Solar Motion Light – Dummy Camera Housing for Yards, Barns and Driveways

Solar wall light with motion sensor – shaped like a security camera, no wiring needed

This outdoor LED light charges from its own solar panel during the day and switches on when it picks up movement at night. The housing looks like a surveillance camera, but it is a light only and does not record. It is meant for spots where running a cable is a hassle, such as a barn, fence or long driveway.

Why choose this solar camera-style light?

You get light where you need it without an electrician or an outdoor outlet. The camera-shaped housing gives the wall a watchful look as a side effect.

• Self-charging panel: a 138 × 80 mm solar panel stores daylight in an 18650 battery for use after dark.
• Movement trigger: the sensor reacts to people or vehicles at roughly 6 to 8 meters and keeps the light on for about 20 seconds.
• Weather-ready shell: ABS and PC housing with an IP64 rating against dust and splashing water.
• Camera look: the housing resembles a security camera, without any recording function.
• Battery protection: the unit shuts off at 2.7V and resumes at 3.0V.

Screw it to the wall once, and the dark corner by the shed is taken care of.

Mount it on a wall or post where the panel gets as much open daylight as possible, since trees, roofs and walls reduce charging. Long stretches of cloudy weather shorten how long it runs at night. Detection range also depends on the mounting height and angle, so test it before you drill the final holes.
