Metal Agave Sculpture – Weatherproof Garden Ornament in Colour

Metal Agave Sculpture – A plant shape that survives the winter

An agave rendered in metal: the same spread of pointed leaves, in a colour that holds through the season. It stands on its own in a gravel bed, among ornamental grasses or beside a doorway, and needs nothing doing to it once it is placed.

Why a metal sculpture rather than a plant?

Real agaves want heat, sharp drainage and a winter indoors in most of the country. The shape is the appealing part, and metal delivers it in February as readily as in July. In a gravel garden, where the planting is deliberately sparse, one strong form does more work than three struggling specimens.

• Distinctive agave form – a strong silhouette rather than a vague leaf shape.
• Weatherproof metal – rust-resistant, made to stay out year-round.
• Six colours – from metallic gray and champagne through to cyan and royal blue.
• Three heights – 27, 35 and 55 cm, singly or grouped.
• Nothing to assemble – out of the box and into the ground.

Structure in the border in the months when nothing else has any.

Three in different heights grouped loosely reads far better than one on its own in the middle of a bed. On gravel or paving, check it sits stable before you walk away; the taller size catches wind. The leaf tips are pointed by design, so keep the larger sizes back from a path where people pass closely.
