A 52 cm fan and a dimmable LED panel in one fitting, installed through a standard E27 socket rather than a proper fan mount. The light does warm, neutral and cool white; the fan has six rounded blades and a timer that shuts it off after two or four hours. Everything runs from the remote.

Why choose a fan-and-light fitting?

A proper ceiling fan needs a rated mounting box and usually an electrician. This one goes into an existing lamp holder, which puts air movement into a bedroom or a study without touching the wiring. In a small room that is the whole difference between sleeping through August and not.

Check the drop below your ceiling before ordering — at 19 cm deep it wants a reasonable ceiling height underneath it. It works from the wall switch as well as the remote, but the switch only turns it on and off; the settings live on the remote, so keep it somewhere obvious.
