Wall Clock – Gear Shapes That Catch the Light and Happen to Tell Time

The face of this clock is built up from interlocking gear shapes cut in MDF and finished with lacquer. It hangs from a single hole on the back, so no bracket or special anchor is needed. Two diameters are available: roughly 12 and 16 inches.

Why choose an industrial wall clock?

A smooth white clock disappears against a light wall. This one does the opposite: the cut shapes hold shadow and read as decoration first. It sits well on exposed brick, in an office or behind a bar.

Hang it at eye level or slightly above, since the gear shapes read best in light coming from the side. With the larger diameter, leave at least a hand's width clear all around. Dust it with a dry brush rather than a damp cloth, because MDF does not take standing moisture.
