Advent calendar – 24 outdoor tools for camping trips, hikes and odd jobs

Advent calendar – a small piece of gear for outside every day

An advent calendar with 24 numbered doors and a small outdoor tool behind each one. Think of things you take on a camping trip or a hike, or reach for during a job around the house. For anyone who would rather get a tool than a chocolate.

What makes this outdoor calendar worth it

After 24 days you have a full set of small helpers. They go with you on the next trip instead of ending up in a drawer.

• Camping: add each day's tool to your camping kit
• Hiking: small enough to carry in a backpack
• Climbing days: gear that fits the bag you take to the crag
• Odd jobs: useful for small fixes at home or in the shed
• Gift option: a good fit for someone who is outdoors a lot

December, with your mind already on the next trip.

Open a door each morning and set the tool aside with your outdoor gear. By the end of the month you have a small kit ready to go. The calendar also makes a ready-wrapped present.
