A narrow wall rack in solid wood, finished by hand one piece at a time. That means the grain runs differently on every rack and no two are identical. Versions with four, five or six hooks are available.

Why choose a wooden coat rack?

A hallway gets cluttered from everything hanging in it, which is a good argument for keeping the thing it hangs on plain. This rack is a bar with hooks and lets the wood carry the work. It sits as easily beside a modern door as in an older hallway.

Find two solid points in the wall when mounting; anchors in drywall alone will not hold a full rack for long. Wipe the wood with a dry or barely damp cloth and never let water stand on it. A thin coat of furniture oil brings the color back after a year.
