ALR Projector Screen – For rooms you cannot make properly dark

Most projector screens are white, which means they reflect the lamp and the room lights equally well. This one is dark grey with an ambient light rejecting coating: it sends the projector's light back at you and absorbs much of what arrives from the side. The result is a picture that holds its contrast with a lamp on.

Why choose an ALR screen?

A white screen only works when the room is dark, which in practice means evenings with the curtains shut. An ALR surface widens that: daytime films, presentations with the blinds half open, gaming without turning the whole room into a cinema. Blacks stay black instead of washing out to grey.

ALR surfaces have a narrower viewing angle than white screens — roughly 30 to 40 degrees here — so plan the seating in front of the screen rather than off to the sides. Let the material hang for a day after unpacking to settle out the fold lines. Clean it with a dry microfibre cloth only; the coating does not take liquids.
